Schedule

Day 1: Vientian Arrival

On arrival at Wattay airport, you are met and transfer to our centrally located hotel. Afterward, enjoy the City tour with the major sights of the capital, we visit the sacred and oldest temple Wat Sisaket with thousands of miniature Buddha statues and Museum Ho Prakeo , the former royal temple previously housed the famous Emerald Buddha Image. On the way to the famous and sacred structure of That Luang stupa, we stop to take some pictures of the imposing Patouxai which is well known as Vientiane’s own Arc de Triomphe. Overnight in Vientiane.

Day 2: Vientiane- Xieng Khouang (B)

Take a short flight to XiengKhouang, which was devastated by the bombardment between 1964 and 1973. Upon arrival, we will make a visit to the ” Plan of Jars ” an impressive archeological site where hundreds of large stone jars are littered all over the plateau. We also have time, this afternoon seeing the nearby villages, home to the Hmong hill tribe people. They have an interesting local culture and a colorful history. Overnight in Phonesavanh.

Day 3: Xieng Khouang-Luang Prabang (B)

Enjoy our visit to the market before leaving XiengKhouang to Luang Prabang by road 262Km, the world heritage city. This is a stunning mountain road with beautifull nature. Along the way we will make some stops in the villages of Hmong to witness their daily activities.. Overnight Luang Prabang.

Day 4: Luang Prabang- Pak Ou Cave (B)

Start our day at the magnificent temple Wat XiengThong with its roofs sweeping low to the ground. Which represent the classical architecture of LuangPrabang temple. We then embark on a cruise upstream on the Mekong river which also gives us a beautiful view of the tranquil countryside as well as an interesting visit to the mysterious of Pak Ou caves, crammed with thousands of gold lacquered Buddha statues of various shapes and sizes. Along the way, we stop at the village of Ban Xang Hai, where they make the local rice wine. On return, we take a short drive to Ban Phanom, well known for its hand weaving. Visit the Mont Phousi for the beautiful sunset and the view of the city . Enjoy the evening at the Night Market . Overnight in LuangPrabang.

Day 5: Luang Prabang- Kuangsi Waterfall (B)

Today, we will make a visit to the National Museum at the former royal palace, which displays a lovely collection of the artifacts reflecting the richness of Lao culture dating from the days of the early kings right through the last sovereign. Visit wat Mai, wat Visoun, wat Phoutthabat . In the afternoon, enjoy a short drive to visit Kuangsi waterfall and some peaceful surrounding villages. Overnight Luang Prabang.

Day 6: Luang Prabang Departure (B)

Enjoy some of your free time untill the transfer to airport for your onward flight
